
How do parents of kids with asthma, or the average Joe, get the EPA's attention to tell them to crack down on smog pollution?

Instead of just signing your standard online petition, they can sign the sky, leaving their name and a comment for others to read telling why they
signed. The idea is to give people a voice by giving them ownership of the issue – figuratively letting them take ownership of a square mile of sky over the U.S.
The site is in response to the EPA's current – and weak – position on ozone standards. Heading into upcoming hearings on the issue, EPA's recommendation falls short of what the scientific and health communities have advocated.
Earthjustice launched the site for people with asthma who are literally sick of breathing dirty air. There are 4.5 million kids with asthma in the U.S.
Adopting is free. The petition with all the names will be delivered to the EPA October 8, 2007.
