Earth Promise

Earth Promise is an online community where environmentally conscious people use the site as a platform to document changes in their everyday lives, whether large or small, that will improve the earth’s condition. These changes, or Earth Promises, can have a tremendous effect when grouped together. Even one small Earth Promise can grow and have bigger positive effects with a little care and attention. Let’s say, you promise to use recycled paper. On its own, it doesn’t appear to be much. But what if 100 people made that same promise? What about 1,000 people? Or a million? The power of Earth Promise can also be realized through your everyday interaction with other people. What if you told ten friends about the promise you made, and in turn they told ten friends and so on. That type of viral, word of mouth exchange of information is what has always powered successful grassroots. The great thing about Earth Promise is that when you make a promise on the site it’s like having a conversation with not only your friends, but thousands of other environmentally conscious people all at the same time. Your promise can immediately become their promise as well. Either way, even one promise has a positive impact on the environment and that alone is powerful.
