Steelmantown Cemetery - Green Burial Preserve
Description
New Jersey's only Green Burial Council Certified Natural and Offtrail Burial Ground. 9 acres of untouched wilderness andjacent to the 21,000 acre Belleplain State Forest. Circa "1700" the cemetery is rich with history and stays true with its original use. There are no embalmed bodies or concrete vaults. We are and will always be a true Green Burial ground. We have deed restrictions inplace that does not allow embalming or vaults of any kind.We also offer a mile long Eco trail for the publics enjoyment along with a historic chapel and soon to come Education and resource center now under construction.
