Lehigh Valley Green Living and Building Expo

Hello, My name is Ken Ashcom, president of the LV Green builders. I’d like to thank you in advance for taking the time learn about the 2011 Lehigh Valley Green living and Building expo. This is the third annual expo. The event will be held at Northampton Community College for the second year in a row. The expo will take place on March 19st and 20nd which is a Saturday and Sunday. The expo consists of a large exhibiting area, multiple speaking events, and a workshop area. The event cost $5 or the public to attend with various organizations getting a members discount to attend. We’ve had over 3,000 people attend the last two expos and anticipate a banner year for attendance in 2011. The most important thing to note is that the people who attend our expo are there on a mission to learn about green building and green living. These are your target market. Unlike a typical home show where there are thousands of people who are just looking to get out of their homes and wander around like zombies… the people who attend our green building expo are there to learn and want to know about your products and services. The response from the exhibitors from the past 2 years has been: “ I’ve spoken to more qualified people at this expo than I ever do at the home show…. Well worth my time to be here!” New for this year is our Green Living display… here people can get a hand-on approach on how they can green their lives. There will be 7 rooms set up to represent the different living area in your home and will display the corresponding green products and services. Plus we will have many other hands on workshops and displays. We will have a kids workshops as well so we can get the entire family involved in being Green. We have started early in marketing the event this year and plan on a lot of publicity which will drive the attendance and make it a hugely successful event for us all.
