An American who settled in Costa Rica thirty four years ago, Laurel Anderson began painting t-shirts and beach dresses for the emerging tourists visiting the country. Hard pressed to keep up with demand, she hired and trained local women in the area of Cahuita, Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. This small group of women became family and helped Laurel to grow her business over the years. The canvas totes and canvas bags are made of exceptional quality. Each bag is locally sewn of medium weight cotton canvas material, detailing durability and functionality.
