The Caffeine Awareness Alliance(CAA) was founded in 2003. CAA's worldwide members include families, dietitians, nutritionist, alternative healthcare practitoners, physicians, nurses, school staff, and the food industry. CAA serves as the resource for consumers, media and medical community. Vision To be the world leading resource for caffeine intoxication and dependency awareness information and the issues surrounding this drug. Mission To raise public awareness, to provide advocacy and education, to publish and to advance research on behalf of those affected by this ubiquitous drug. Media CAA works with the media to insure fair and accurate reporting on the issues surrounding caffeine. CAA conducts publicity campaigns and is frequently quoted in print, television, and radio press in the U.S. and abroad. EDUCATION CAA staff conducts seminars and training sessions on the health risk associated with caffeine intoxication and dependency for groups of patients, government officials, industry leaders, and other policymakers. PUBLICATIONS & PRODUCTS CAA publishes several newsletters, and has a book, audiobook, booklets, videos, and other products designed to educate about caffeine. ADVOCACY CAA works with policy makers on federal, state, and local initiatives in such areas as food labeling, schools, emergency medical services, camps, restaurants, and airlines. RESEARCH CAA supports and participates in research studies focusing on caffeinism. FUNDING CAA is supported by membership dues, sales of materials and services, grants, and donations. Regardless of the funding source, CAA retains complete editorial control of all materials.
