Sustainable Hosting purchases 11,552 kilowatt hours worth of Green-e certified renewable energy certificates annually to offset the energy used by web servers. Over the course of one year, these certificates prevent the emission of 15,840 pounds of CO₂. This is equivalent to taking an average car off the road for 12 months, or planting 778 trees.
