Yahoo!, the Internet giant best known for free email and a profitable online advertising model has been stretching into a relatively new Internet arena - web pages focused on green marketing, green content, and sustainable products. The Northern California based company has been producing its Yahoo! Green website since the beginning of the green marketing craze that is now sweeping across Silicon Valley and the Internet faster than an electrically powered Toyota Prius hybrid speeding down the highway.

Testing Toys for Lead and Toxins


Parents brought their children's toys to a city funded environmental center in San Francisco to be tested for lead and other harmful toxins. The toys were tested with a tool called an X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer, or XRF, which can detect even trace amounts of lead and other toxic chemicals.
