iChapters.com an online textbook website that sells ebooks and echapters, has successfully planted 46,000 trees from their "Plant a Tree Program" that started in mid-January. For every ebook and echapter purchased, iChapters is planting a tree through their non-profit tree planting partners PasoPacifico.org and ChangingthePresent.org. The goal is to reach 60,000 trees planted by THIS FRIDAY, February 15th. According to The Rainforest Action Network, “An area of rainforest the size of a football field is destroyed every second of every day. Over half of all the rainforests have already disappeared.” To make things even more fun, iChapters is also hosting a "Tree Drawing Contest" on facebook. Draw a tree if you feel compelled!!
