National Geographic's Green Guide is an online destination and new quarterly National Geographic publication.
Green Guide was founded by Wendy Gordon, former NRDC staff scientist. The web site, original newsletter and now new magazine sprung from a group called Mothers & Others that Wendy founded in 1989 with Meryl Streep focusing on educating moms about healthy organic food choices.
The new Green Guide is the first magazine and web publication solely devoted to the issue of green consumerism. Its focus is on simple every day tips and steps everyone can take to benefit the health of their homes, cars, families and the planet in general.

Mission: The mission of the magazine and of National Geographic is to inspire people to care about the planet. The magazine offers tips and solutions for consumers wanting to implement green behaviors into their daily lives without breaking the bank or changing their habits too drastically.
