EarthDance, is a well established Global Dance & Cultural Festival for Peace. It has grown to become the world's largest simultaneous music and dance event in the world! In alignment with the International Day of Peace, over 250,000 people unite. And now it is happening in Texas!
The Founder of Earthdance Austin, Darla Horton is a Denison resident who started this festival after finding out her dad had stage 4 cancer. Unfortunately, like many, he recently lost his battle. “Think Global Act Local” is a theme with our vision of Earthdance. A benefit is being held at Tbones in Denison on July 19th for this festival to grow and give people a chance to contribute. The spirit of Earthdance is participation on whatever level possible. Tickets are being offered for this 3 day camping and music event at $75.00 for a limited time. Available online at www.earthdanceaustin.org. These festivals support much more than their charities, including underground music, grassroot artists, performers, and their community.
"The Prayer for Peace" is played at every event across the world at exactly the same time. The universal prayer is a powerful moment that unifies our intention for a peaceful world.
