Since 1991 it has been our mission to educate folks about the toxic personal health and environmental effects of synthetic chemical ingredients found in faux-natural, faux-organic personal care products. We are greatly concerned about the air and water pollution that results from the industrial manufacturing processes used to make the synthetic chemical personal care ingredients -- surfactants/detergents, emollients/fatty acids, preservatives, sunscreens, fragrances, thickeners, etc. We are also troubled by the pervasive toxic effects of personal care product chemicals that are absorbed into the body when they are used and when they are washed down bathtub drains into our waterways, our drinking water, every single day. Our organic team is raising a deep green flag to draw attention to the advertising hype and "natural" and "organic" label claims of pale green pretenders. Our planet is in crisis and we are calling upon concerned and intelligent environmentalists to join together with us to take the necessary big steps -- reject poseur products -- to help heal our mother, the earth, now.
